Hydrogen from wind excess

Varanger, Norway, is a sparsely populated area with high wind capacities. The local hydrogen production uses green electricity from the nearby wind park, avoiding expensive grid enhancements. Hydrogen is stored in tanks and sold to local off-takers. The PEM Electrolyzer is an optimal solution for volatile power supplies. This project was partly funded be the EU.
